ISLAMABAD: China has set unprecedented example, bringing the people out of poverty, said upcoming Prime Minister Imran Khan in his maiden address to the nation on Thursday.

Pledging to fight out poverty, he said the China is a best example before them for poverty’s alleviation.

China succeeded to bring 700 million people out of poverty in a short span of time, about thirty years. There is no such example in the human’s history, Imran Khan added.

While stating that the development of human’s resources will be his main priority in the running the country’s affairs, he said they need to follow China in this context.  “ We will learn from China, as how our neighboring country brought glory and prosperity in the life of its people,” he remarked.

They will follow  China’s model in tackling the menace of corruption, he added.

About future targets, Imran Khan said the relations with China will continue to remain corner-stone of his government’s foreign policy.

He went on to add, his government will try to give further boost to their decade’s old Sino-Pak strategic partnership.

About the China-Pakistan economic Corridor (CPEC), he said his government will fully support this game-changer mega project, since it is giving the country a lot, in socio-economic development.
