Chinese media hail Imran maiden address to nation Pakistan My Country

ISLAMABAD: The Chinese media appreciated the maiden address to the nation of the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan after winning parliamentary elections in the Pakistan.

The Chinese English newspaper “China Daily” in an article said that Imran Khan in his address had particularly mentioned the development of China and vowed to learn from the country.

The article said that Imran Khan had especially called for further improving relations with China and will learn about poverty alleviation from that country.

It said Imran Khan had met Pakistan embassy officials during his trip to China in 2011 and was deeply impressed by the Chinese development.

It said he visited China in 2011 and maintained close interaction with Chinese embassy and visiting Chinese officials to Pakistan.

He has established a China Cooperation Unit under his direct supervision which will promote collaboration with China in the field of economy, trade, science and technology, health, social welfare and agriculture, it added.

The article said Imran is against graft and corruption and wanted to learn from Chinese experience. China, being the major contributor of human resource development for Pakistan, possesses a huge potential of more collaboration.

The daily said during his tenure, the China-Pakistan relations will further strengthen, China, Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will speed up and widen in scope.
