KARACHI: The working hours for banks and other financial institutions have been changed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) as per the decision taken by the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on coronavirus.
The NCC, which met last week with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, had announced to restrict office timings so that people can go for Eid shopping.
The SBP stated that the working hours were cut short under the federal government directives.
“In line with the decision of National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) to contain the spread of COVID-19, the State Bank of Pakistan will observe the following office hours, which will also be followed by all banks / DFIs / MFBs till further orders,” the SBP notification read.

Banks / MFBs are further advised to observe the following business (banking) hours for public dealing:
