GWADAR: An eighth-grader from the Government Girls High School in Faqeer Colony, Gwadar secured second place in a province-level English essay writing competition, earning personal recognition from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Amina Dad Karim, a student at the school widely known as the China-Pak Friendship School, received her award from the Chief Minister at a ceremony in Gwadar. “Amina’s remarkable performance is a shining example of the talent, potential and academic capabilities of the youth of Balochistan,” Bugti said, while also praising her parents, teachers and school administration for nurturing her abilities.
Teacher and school coordinator Naseem Baloch, a graduate of Central China Normal University in Wuhan, China, accepted the award on Amina’s behalf. “It is encouraging to see our students showcase their talents on various platforms,” Naseem said. “Their education creates opportunities that were once beyond their reach.”
The China-Pakistan Government Girls High School Faqeer Colony was established with Chinese assistance in 2016 and has since received visits, guidance and exchanges from Chinese delegations, efforts that have contributed to its continued progress.
