Islamabad: Hosted by the China Cultural Center in Pakistan, the Lanting Gathering collective calligraphy tracing event recently concluded successfully during the Silk Road Cultural Festival in Pakistan. Seventy-five representatives from China and Pakistan jointly created a 7.5-meter calligraphy scroll, with the “75 creators and 7.5 meters” neatly echoing the course of China-Pakistan friendly relations. The group comprised 40 Chinese and 35 Pakistani representatives, including industrial craftsmen, grassroots builders, agricultural workers, cultural scholars, research experts, university faculty and students, business leaders, and artists.
Representatives from both countries traced classical calligraphy models together, using traditional Chinese calligraphy as a bridge for civilizational dialogue to deepen China-Pakistan cultural exchanges and strengthen public support for the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. The event was held alongside the Silk Road Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, which also featured photographs on the Silk Road theme. After the event, the scroll went on display at the PMCA Gallery for one month and is open to the public.
